OPEN CLASSES are challenging but encompass all levels. A typical Open class consists of Vinyasa (flowing asana sequences), hands-on adjustments, breath practices, meditation, Sanskrit chanting, yogic philosophical teachings and deep relaxation. Sitting, standing, and inverted postures are incorporated into classes, and challenging variations for more advanced students are suggested by the teacher. To keep the practice inspiring Asana Sequences are ever-changing. Uplifting and inspirational music, from Krishna Das to Miles Davis plays an integral role in the class.
OPEN (Intermediate flow) CLASSES are designed as a slower flowing open class with more detailed alignment instructions and an opportunity to ask questions during the class. All levels welcome.
BASIC CLASSES are geared towards beginners but all levels are welcome. The focus is on fundamentals, building a strong foundation through detailed verbal direction, props and adjustments. Basics are taught in a four week cycle starting the first Monday of every month. You can join the course at any time.
IN-CLASS PRIVATES Jivamukti is the creator of this unique approach to a private class. Throughout a typical Jivamukti class, a teacher will be dedicated entirely to you, guiding you through every movement. The teacher's hands almost never leave your body, as they skillfully correct misalignments and aid progress. The in-class private can be scheduled in any Open class.
ONE-ON-ONE Following the ancient tradition of one teacher to one student, you work intimately to customize a practice built around your specific needs. One-on-one's are available at the Centre or at your home. Please call the centre for more information.

MEDITATION What is meditation? When, where and how to begin your practice of this ancient yet modern art? Meditation is freeing the mind from distracting emotions, thoughts and desires. It develops the capacity of the mind, enhancing the ability to focus. You begin to experience reduced levels of anxiety and stress, increased intuition and empathy, enhanced feelings of love, joy, patience and compassion 'opening' the heart, and greater energy and stamina.
SATSANG Sat= Truth + anga= attachement or limb; attachement to the truth; association with those who remind you of your true potential.
Satsang is an opportunity for students to come together as a community, and combines Sanskrit chanting, meditation and/or a guest speaker for the evening.
