OPEN CLASSES are challenging but encompass all levels. A typical open class consists of flowing asana sequences, hands-on adjustments, breath practices, meditation, sanskrit chanting, philosophical teachings and deep relaxation. Sitting, standing, and inverted postures are incorporated into classes, and challenging variations for more advanced students are suggested by the teacher. To keep the practice inspiring asana sequences are ever-changing. Music plays an integral role in the class.
IFLOW CLASSES are designed as a slower flowing open class with more detailed alignment instructions and an opportunity to ask questions during the class. All levels are welcome.
BASIC CLASSES are geared towards beginners but all levels are welcome. The focus is on fundamentals, building a strong foundation through detailed verbal direction, props and adjustments. Basics are taught in a four week cycle starting the first Monday of every month. Drop-ins are welcome.
IN-CLASS PRIVATES Jivamukti is the creator of this unique approach to a private class. Throughout a typical Jivamukti class, a teacher will be dedicated entirely to you, guiding you through every movement, as they correct misalignments and aid progress. The in-class private can be scheduled in any Open class.
ONE-ON-ONE Following the ancient tradition of one teacher to one student, you work intimately to customize a practice built around your specific needs. One-on-one's are available at the centre or at your home. Please call the centre for more information.
